Create your own custom underwear pattern in this 2.5-hour hands-on workshop. Design a personalized pattern for panties, a bra, or both — and learn professional techniques for fit, finishing, and fabric planning.

🧵 Event Overview

In Part 1 of our Underwear Making Workshop series, we focus on building your foundation: custom pattern creation and fit preparation.

During this session, you’ll choose to create:

• A custom panties pattern
• A custom bra/bralette pattern
• Or both

This workshop is centered on pattern drafting and understanding fit (full garment construction will happen in Part 2).

In this 2.5-hour class, you will:

✔️ Draft your pattern based on your measurements.

✔️ Learn how to adjust standart patterns for fit and comfort

✔️ Explore underwear construction techniques

✔️ Calculate fabric requirements

✔️ Practice small samples of finishing techniques (elastic application, stretch lace, edge finishes)

✔️ Build confidence working with soft stretch garments

You’re welcome to bring your favorite pair of panties or bralette as a reference if you’d like to recreate or refine a similar style.

Hi there! I’m Julia Medeiros, a seasoned professional in the world of apparel.

With over 20 years of experience under my belt (yes, I started early!) I've honed my skills as a tailor, pattern maker, and sewing technologist. Specializing in women’s clothing, and utilizing my One Fitting method, I’ve brought countless unique garments to life, turning my clients’ visions into reality. I have deep experience with teaching sewing classes around the world I am excited to bring my expertise to The Nest.
