About this Event
Participants will explore how renewable energy systems work through a live demonstration of a small solar panel and wind turbine system and learn how weather conditions affect clean energy production.
The session will also introduce important topics related to wind energy in Ontario, including wind turbine setback distances, environmental considerations, and provincial noise guidelines designed to protect nearby communities. Through hands-on activities and open discussion, residents will learn more about sustainability, renewable energy planning, and Toronto’s climate goals in a welcoming and community-friendly environment.
Open to families, youth, newcomers, residents, and anyone interested in learning more about clean energy and community climate action.
