About this Event

Understanding the role of insurance in a changing climate

Join us in person for a thoughtful but eye-opening conversation about how communities and insurers are responding to climate change, and what this may mean for the future. As usuual, with national and local speakers and using examples and audience questions, we’ll explore how the insurance landscape in New Zealand may evolve, including public and private insurance, and consider what these changes could mean for communities and insurers alike.

We’ll look at some of the considerations that come with a changing climate, including weather-related risks, emerging responses, and opportunities to support resilient and inclusive communities.

Although stand-alone, this is the first of two connected discussions. The second probably in August, (a separate event), will explore the direction of central government policy and what it could mean in practice.

We’d love you to join us for one of both of these sessions.
