About this Event
Join the JAX Healers community for an educational and interdisciplinary learning experience with Dr. Dominique Tull, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, and CNPT, as we explore the connection between pain, the nervous system, and the brain.
As providers, many of us work closely with individuals navigating chronic pain, stress-related symptoms, trauma responses, physical limitations, tension, and nervous system dysregulation. This training is designed to deepen our understanding of how pain works so we can better support, educate, and care for the people we serve.
Dr. Tull is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced clinical training and specialization in orthopedic care, manual therapy, and pain education. During this session, attendees will gain practical insight into:
• How pain is processed within the brain and nervous system
• The relationship between emotional stress, trauma, and physical pain
• Why pain experiences differ from person to person
• How providers across disciplines can better support clients experiencing chronic or persistent pain
• Ways to improve communication, treatment approaches, and client understanding surrounding pain
This event is ideal for:
Therapists, counselors, social workers, physical therapists, chiropractors, wellness providers, nurses, coaches, bodyworkers, and holistic practitioners who work with individuals impacted by pain, stress, trauma, or nervous system dysregulation.
