Build confidence to support neurodiverse youth by exploring autism & ADHD and strengthening inclusive approaches and practical tools.
About this Event

You work with young people every day.
Some are overwhelmed.
Some are misunderstood.
Some are labelled difficult when they are actually dysregulated.

This training is about seeing what is really going on.

Join Denise Coy (MNZAC, ASDCS) and Mary-Jane du Toit (BA Hum Psych, Prosci Certified Facilitator) for a practical, honest session on understanding and supporting neurodiverse rangatahi.

Together we will explore:

Part 1: Autism and ADHD explained
Part 2: Inclusive strategies and emotional regulation tools you can apply straight away
Part 3: The bigger picture - NZ stats, genetics and family dynamics

This is not a lecture. It is a grounded, strengths-based conversation led by two women who bring both professional expertise and lived experience.

Who should attend:
Youth workers, mentors, educators, counsellors, social service providers, and anyone supporting rangatahi.

Session details:
Arrive by 10:45am
Start 11:00am sharp
Finish 1:00pm

Our goal is to: build your confidence in creating supportive spaces where all youth can thrive. Whether you’re seeking new tools, hoping to deepen your understanding of neurodiversity, or interested in discussing tailored training options for your organisation, this event offers valuable insights and opportunities for collaboration.

If you are serious about creating supportive spaces where neurodiverse young people feel seen, understood and capable, this is for you.

Places are limited, so please register soon to secure your spot. Maximum 2 per organisation.
