Develop an understanding of young men's mental health and wellbeing, challenges they face, and ways to support their wellbeing.
About this Event

This event is for young people aged 14-24, please do not book if you are not in this age group.

The Nook from SAMH provides barrier-free access to mental health support, with no need to book an appointment, no need for referrals, and no waiting lists. Anyone looking for support can walk through the door and get help fast.

Delivered by the Scottish Action for Mental Health's Children and Young People team.

This workshop can be delivered to young people and will allow learners to gain an understanding of mental health and wellbeing in young men and boys.

There will be the opportunity to explore the most common mental health problems in males, and to consider why males often find it difficult to ask for help.

Learners will explore the stereotypes and stigma around male mental health and be encouraged to find ways to challenge these.

Finally, learners will explore the importance of looking after their mental health and wellbeing.
