About this Event
Essential information for healthcare professionals and others who may encounter individuals suffering from this condition.
Long Covid, also known as post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), is a condition where individuals experience lingering symptoms long after the initial Covid-19 infection.
Join Brain Health Breakthrough CIC in this informative workshop to gain insight into the most up-to-date information, to inform your practice, and help raise awareness about the lasting effects of Long Covid. This is an energy-limiting condition and considered to be a hidden disability, it can be difficult for others to understand how much this can impact someone's daily life.
As a professional, it's crucial to listen to patients who may be experiencing persistent symptoms and provide support and/or guidance in managing their condition. There is still much to learn about Long Covid, but raising awareness and understanding of the condition is a crucial first step in supporting those affected.
For more information, see the agenda of what will be covered in the workshop.

A bit about Brain Health Breakthrough CIC:
We are a community interest company supporting people with Long Covid since July 2020 and are pioneers in delivering effective peer support. We are ‘Hyndburn Community Champions’ and our founder, Karen Haworth, won the Women Leaders in Social Enterprise award in November 2021 for the support Brain Health Breakthrough CIC provided to the community throughout the pandemic. We also developed and delivered training for Blackburn with Darwen Council to help them set up their peer support group.
We are all experts by experience and offer bespoke consultation advice for any organisation who need guidance from people who have experienced Long Covid. Our staff have personal experience of Long Covid and we champion a transformational culture within our organisation, putting our purpose, people, and values at the heart of our flexible working model.
We work together to champion disability, talent, diversity, and equality.
There is a small cost to the workshop, however, all proceeds go towards funding our core costs to continue growing and developing our community. This will allow us to serve better our community of people living with energy-limiting conditions.
