An interactive session which explores gender-based violence and offers a feminist analysis of why GBV continues to permeate society.
About this Event

This short course provides participants with an understanding of gender-based violence, introducing a feminist analysis of why violence against women and girls occurs. The course also explores modern developments in how violence against women and girls is maintained throughout our society and the Scottish Governments Equally Safe strategic response.

The training will develop participant’s awareness of the prevalence of violence against women and girls and the contemporary societal responses. The course will also discuss salient gendered issues such rape myths, gender stereotypes, victim-blaming attitudes and the 'manosphere'.


Who is this training for?

We are funded to provide cost free training to workers in a housing/homelessness context who may support survivors of sexual abuse within Scotland. Workers from other sectors are welcome however there will be cost attached for attendance.
