WHO ARE THE ARTSISTS?

Thelo @thesou1ion

Thelonious Lee Dexter is a multidimensional artist, musician , performer and co-creator born and raised on the unceded ancestral territories of the Musqueum, Tsleil-Waututh and Squamish people, colonially known as Vancouver. Coming from a mixed diasporic family heritage (Korean + Celtic / British) as well as an embodied connection to the lands we are presently on, Thelo often plays between the cracks of ancestral identity and belonging amidst the fringe of post-modernity and ongoing cosmic revolution. Thelonious is a lover of the weird and wild, the mythic and whimsical, and their work aims to explore the natural and spiritual realms that intervene in and between the experiences of being human. Thelo is one part of psychedelic hiphop crew ‘Off Topic’ (@offtopicmusic) as “TK thesoulion”and ‘earthen bodies’ creative collective with their partner Alyssa Amarshi . They love to sing, play guitar , drums , bass and enjoy making beats and loops as a way to connect to the world through sonic expression

Syd @thtkid.syd

Syd is an up and coming Vancouver creative, working on transitioning her love for poetry into music. Often finding herself humming to her own tune, Syd’s poetry creates its own beat through the flow of words and story-telling. Syd speaks through the heart, telling stories inspired by the various emotions and experiences of life and explores themes of growth, vulnerability and self-love.

Karika is a multi-elemental artist. She is a singer-songwriter from Vancouver BC and Big Island Hawai’i. She sources her inspiration from Nature herself, her connection with God, and her deep vast ancestral roots. She creates to heal and awaken her being and offer salve for the precious souls of others with connective ancient wisdom.

Chris Yamez, the soulful crooner hailing from the vibrant city of Vancouver, British Columbia, is a true embodiment of musical versatility and passion. With a sound that defies categorisation, Chris Yamez's music is a captivating fusion of soul, R&B, and elements of other genres such as Orchestral, Neo-Classical, Indie pop, etc., seamlessly blending classic influences with contemporary flair. He draws inspiration from a diverse array of musical influences, ranging from the timeless melodies of Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder to the innovative stylings of Frank Ocean, Moses Sumney, and Chris Brown. This eclectic mix of inspirations infuses his music with depth and authenticity, creating a sound that is uniquely his own.

Rhythm is a filipina new age neo organic interdisciplinary sound healing artist who the frequencies of her vocals to echo the rhythms that live within nature and the universe. Rhythm symbolizes the infinite patterns that exist within all of creation. Although Rhythm has many meanings, rhythm for her represents the seasons, the art and divinity in nature, the music and seasons of life.
