The event spotlights the world premiere screening of Underachiever — a moving, character-driven short film about a depressed young writer wrestling with unrealized potential — written, directed, and produced by 7-time award-winning filmmaker Robert Silver of Day One Films.

The 2-hour cinematic celebration will also feature four additional shorts from Silver’s acclaimed body of work — Scam Caller, Zoom & Enhance, , and The First Page — each offering a unique lens on human connection, technology, and self-discovery. The evening culminates with a special fundraising segment to help launch Silver’s highly anticipated debut feature film Dual Target, a gripping crime thriller about a Brooklyn schoolteacher living a double life as a mafia assassin.
