The intimate music and culture event will be held from September 19 to 22, at the Estonian National Museum in Tartu, Estonia.
Music, workshops, and an international conference will emphasise the importance of alternative gathering places, all while celebrating club culture in its various forms, viewing it as a fertile ground from which fresh ideas emerge that shape society around us.
Organized by the independent, female-led collective, the festival coincides with the autumn equinox, promising a transformative blend of music, art, and discourse. The lineup features a mix of international and local deejays, live artists, speakers, and exciting collaborations.
During the day, attendees can expect immersive audiovisual experiences, engaging workshops, and music-focused discussions. An ethnographic exhibition will explore human interactions with the night throughout history.
By night, unda takes over the museum for an all-night program featuring dance music legends like Call Super, object blue, DJ Marcelle, and more to be announced. unda's partnership with Berlin's legendary club Tresor offers a unique opportunity for cultural exchange. Tresor's curated stage, set for Saturday, September 21, will showcase a fusion of Tresor's renowned artists with local Estonian talent.
Located in a striking modernist building, the Estonian National Museum offers a unique architectural backdrop, seamlessly merging contemporary design with natural surroundings.Drawing inspiration from Estonia's diverse marshlands, unda's name stems from the Latin word for "wave" and "crowd," as well as the mythical water creature Undine. This symbolism underscores the festival's aim to create cultural waves and unite communities.
unda is part of the European Capital of Culture’s “Arts of Survival” Tartu 2024 program.
