Uncrease is Gilcrease Museum’s FREE community arts series spanning March through May 2026. Featuring 29 artists across 6 dates, the program includes live music, workshops, performances, demonstrations, and lectures, with headlining performances by The Tulsa Opera and Tulsa Symphony Orchestra. This series brings diverse artists and community members together to create, learn, and explore the new Gilcrease Museum building. Registration Required.Artist Programming Lineup for April 23:
• Candacee White - Workshop: Printmaking workshop showcasing the basics of relief printmaking, where participants will carve their own design in linoleum and print it.
• Liz Dueck - Workshop: Participants design and set up their own Nature Journal with project ideas for connecting with nature.
• Malinda Blank - Workshop: Social Practice art-making project as an introduction to Social Practice and unintended collaboration. Butcher paper will be rolled out on rectangular tables with panels pre-drawn, creating a large comic book.
• Maree ReMalia - Workshop: Moving Bodies/Dancing Lives – A 2-hour participatory workshop welcoming seasoned dancers and newcomers alike to delve into improvisational explorations through movement, honoring diverse backgrounds and physical interpretations. Ages 16+.
