About this Event
The Summer Learning Institute (SLI), is one of Umoja’s signature convenings that brings together the Umoja community to deepen learning, strengthen community, and advance our shared commitment to student success. This year for the first time, we are inviting select community partners, vendors, and supporters to join the evening mixer alongside registered SLI participants, Umoja staff, Umoja Board Members & Elders for a relaxed and engaging opportunity to connect and “experience” the legacy of Umoja.
Guests will enjoy:
- Musical renderings of the African Diaspora
- Culturally associated light bites
- An interactive “museum experience” to learn more about Umoja’s legacy, impact, and future
