UMI est une chanteuse, auteure-compositrice et productrice originaire de Seattle, qui façonne une soul moderne nourrie de R&B, de folk et de neo-soul, portée par une écriture introspective et une présence apaisante.
Avec son nouvel album people stories, elle ouvre un chapitre à la fois intime et universel. Inspiré par ses proches, ses fans et ses propres expériences, le disque explore l’ego, la guérison, l’identité et le lien aux autres. Geïnspireerd door haar naasten, haar fans en haar eigen ervaringen, verkent het album het ego, genezing, identiteit en de band met anderen.
