Davi De Paula and Yara are joining us here in Baltimore city from their home in Brazil to share their cultural heritage of Umbanda,. This will be an evening of chants, dancing, drumming, and prayers. Davi will share a bit about the history and African roots of the Umbanda spiritual path, how it has merged with native Amazonian tribal practices, and integrated Catholicism as well as visionary plant medicines. Davi and Yara are on a mission to support their project to buy land in the Amazon forest to preserve and protect their way of life. About the Venue:
