During the peak of heirloom apple season (mid-August to late October), join us to learn all about the unusual heirloom and heritage apple varieties growing here in our organic orchards. These unique, delectable dessert-quality apples are known for their complex flavors, whimsical names and unconventional sizes, shapes, and colors. Each week, our team will curate a tasting of four to five different heirloom apples hand-picked for peak flavor, and share the fascinating histories behind these unique varieties, many of which were saved from obscurity by a handful of dedicated growers and passionate apple-lovers. The tour begins with a guided walk through our organic apple orchards, where guests will learn how our trees are grown and what apples and people have in common (hint: no two are alike). Enjoy views of the rolling hills and farms surrounding our 88-acre property in southwest Sebastopol.
Then, return to the Farm Shop and Tasting Room for a side-by-side guided tasting of four to five hand-picked heirloom apples, paired with local artisan cheeses drizzled with our best-selling apple cider syrup and a glass of freshly pressed apple cider.
