We will be playing a friendly game of ultimate frisbee every Wednesday on the track field at Orem Community Hospital (400 N 400 W, Orem). ***READ DESCRIPTION!!!!***We welcome any and all skill levels and will teach you how to throw and catch and contribute to the team. Everyone gets passed to and everyone is a valued player. We want everyone to feel welcome and wanted. Invite your friends, the more the better. Ideally we'll play with 7v7 and rotators.
If you don't want to play, bring a chair and snacks and come hang out with us and cheer us on and/or walk around the hospital track with your fellow walkers. We have had a lot of fun getting to know so many people who come to support and walk. It's a lot of fun.
We play by the rules because it creates a safe and even playing field for everyone involved. We strive to have a positive teaching environment, so if you don't know the rules, come and learn. It's pretty easy and it makes it so much fun.
Ultimate frisbee is a "gentleman's or gentlewoman's" game. What this means is that players are responsible for their own fair play through self-regulation and the Spirit of the Game, emphasizing respect, communication, and conflict resolution without external officials. If there are any issues/concerns, just talk to Dann.

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Do I have to run?
NO!! Unless you want to. Running does help, but running smart is the best way to do it. There are people there who love to run and run circles around us all, but there are people who walk the entire time...and there are people in-between. We make sure to help everyone be a contributor whatever skill or fitness level they're at.
2. Do I have to be in shape to play?
NO!! We will teach you how to use your energy efficiently and effectively. Once you learn how to move on the field effectively, you will see that you don't have to put in as much effort as you think to be a productive player on the team.
3. What if I don't know the rules?
No worries. We'll teach you in a positive and constructive way. If there are questions about the rules, the leaders on the field will have the final say. Lots of places play differently and we have found rules that work best for us and we're happy to teach them to everyone.
4. Are there really people who come just to watch and/or walk the hospital track?
YES! We have had dozens of different people come to just hang out and/or walk. Bring snacks to share with the players, card games, a blanket to sit on and have a picnic while we play. You can even make signs to cheer for your favorite players or team. We want to include everyone whether they play ultimate or not, so come either way.
5. What if I don't see anyone on the field on the corner of 400 N 400 W, Orem?
It means that you're either early or really late, OR we're coming but life got in the way of us getting there on time. Get out of your car and go hang out on the grass so others see you and you can start congregating or tossing a disc if you have one.
6. What do I need to bring to play?
Just bring yourself...and some water!! It gets pretty hot out there and water is essential. Also, most people wear soccer cleats because it helps grip the ground better when they're running. If you don't have soccer cleats, don't worry about it, lots of people just use regular shoes. If you want to look into cleats, talk with Dann, he has connections sometimes.
7. Can I invite my friends?
YES! Invite your friends!! Share it in groups and invite whomever you'd like.
8. Can kids be invited?
Kids on the playing field has never turned out well unless they can run around with adults at that level. I would caution against having kids play. It makes it difficult to ensure the safety of everyone when kids are running around. They can come play on the grass on the sidelines, enjoy walking, bring games of their own of course.
9. Do players have to be single?
NO! We have a lot of great players who come who are married. We don't discriminate like that. If you're willing to come play, be a positive player, we'd love to have you.
