Formed in 2009, with members hailing from Venezuela, Mexico, El Salvador and Dominican Republic, UltimaNota is known for its blend of tropical rhythms with a modern twist. On March 12, 2022, the band released “Soñando” a full-length album of 12 original songs that feature local Latinx artists and highlights the diversity of Latin music styles created in Charlotte – from salsa to funk to reggae and everywhere in between.
