This December, join us at the MacLaren Art Centre for a magical day of Ukrainian holiday traditions brought to life through art.
We will be creating delicate Ukrainian snowflake ornaments from real natural straw, a beautiful winter craft symbolizing light, harmony, and the spirit of the season.
Each participant will take home their own handmade straw snowflakes, beautifully packaged in gift-ready boxes — elegant, gentle, and meaningful.

Children’s Workshop (Ages 6–12)
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
A fun, creative, hands-on experience where children learn how to build and design traditional Ukrainian straw snowflakes.
Perfect for young artists who love making beautiful holiday crafts.

Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
A calming, meditative workshop where adults explore the heritage of Ukrainian straw ornament-making and create elegant snowflakes to cherish or gift.
