Back after several sellout workshops! Discover the enchanting world of Ukrainian folk art with renowned artist and children's book illustrator, Valeria Leonova. This delightful workshop, using a round canvas for something a bit different, will introduce you to the beautiful and relaxing technique of Petrykivka painting.
Suitable for beginners or the more experienced, this workshop is perfect for both adults and children aged 12+. Valeria will guide you step-by-step, making it easy to create your own masterpiece.

What is Petrykivka painting?
Originating from the village of Petrykivka in Ukraine, this traditional decorative painting style has been recognized on a UNESCO list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Its vibrant colours and intricate patterns create stunning works of art.
This art is rich in symbolism: the rooster stands for fire and spiritual awakening, while birds represent light, harmony and happiness. In Ukrainian folk belief, the paintings protect people from sorrow and evil.
Our cafe is will be open from 11-3 and there will be a chance to pre-order light lunch to enjoy during the brief lunch break.
