Auburn artist Nataliia Shynkarenko is back with more workshops exploring the traditional Ukrainian "lyshtva" embroidery technique!
Registration for this workshop is required as capacity is limited. Registration is $45 for the general public, $40 for Cayuga Museum Members. All materials will be provided by the artist.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

This workshop offers the opportunity for confident beginners and experienced artists to explore Ukrainian traditional embroidery. Participants will be provided with the chance to learn the basics of Ukrainian chain stitch embroidery, including stitches, tips, and techniques while working on a red and black flower design. A canvas tote bag will be used providing a perfect way to display the artwork in everyday life. All materials will be provided by the instructor.
Note: Although for this project we use a larger count canvas, some people may benefit from using a magnifying glass/lamp. The participants are encouraged to bring their own device if needed.
