The laughs are coming to Auburn when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage in the speakeasy at Pr*son City Brewery on Thursday, Dec. 5. Brian Netzel is headlining and Will Phillips and host Mike Peters will be there, too.
Tickets are $10 and available online and at the door. Seating at the State Street location begins at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7. A full dinner menu is available.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
A talented comedian, writer and author, Will Phillips is a Utica favorite. He’s the head of content development for Stage Time Trivia, which serves several restaurants around the Central New York area, and co-created the popular KoldCast web series, M**der Squad, D.B.A. Before his stand-up career began, Phillips spent two years working with Family Guy and wrote Hollywood Failure, which was published in 2014.
Brian Netzel is a stand-up comic from Buffalo, N.Y. A regular performer at Helium Comedy Club in Buffalo, Netzel has performed all over the country. He was at the B4UDie Comedy Festival in Alaska, the Milwaukee Festival, the North Carolina Comedy Festival, the Portland Comedy Festival and the Savage Henry Comedy Festival in Eureka, Calif.
