We look forward to welcoming you to the 2026 UK MSK TRC Scientific Meeting — an interactive and stimulating day bringing together TRC colleagues from across the UK, including Patient Research Partners, the NIHR, and Arthritis UK.
This in-person event will showcase research-active work across the TRC, offering a valuable opportunity to demonstrate impact, share learning, and foster meaningful exchange.
The Programme will Include:
- Spotlight on Innovation: Highlights from MSK TRC Pump Priming Projects, showcasing pioneering research enabled through national collaboration and shared TRC resources
- Interactive Collaborative Sessions: Designed to harness the collective expertise of TRC members in shaping future initiatives and strategic priorities
- Embedding Inclusive Research: Practical approaches to fostering meaningful patient partnership and inclusive practices across TRC projects
- Pathways to Industry Collaboration: Guidance for UK MSK TRC researchers on engaging with industry partners, with insights into how TRC infrastructure can support translational impact
The meeting is invite-only for UK MSK TRC members — including workstream members, steering group participants, clinical academic leads, and Patient Research Partners. In-person attendance is encouraged as hybrid/online capabilities will be available only for components of the meeting.
The MSK TRC will be funding the facilities for this meeting, including lunch and refreshments, but is unable to cover attendance, including transportation to and from the meeting. It is recommended that this be sourced locally.
Funding to attend in person is provided to patient partners who attend the quarterly TRC governance meetings.
Lunch and Refreshments: Provided throughout the day (please detail any dietary requirements when registering to attend).
Getting there:
Train: There are three railway stations (Birmingham New Street, Snow Hill and Moor Street) within walking distance. New Street Station is a two-minute walk.
Car Parking: No onsite parking. Recommend Birmingham Snow Hill Station Car Park, postcode B3 2BJ and Birmingham New Street Station Car Park, postcode B2 4ND. Both car parks are around a 5-minute walk (attendees will need to pay for parking at the car park).
