Bristol will host the second annual UK Independent Crisp Tasting Championships on Saturday 18th April 2026 at The Robin Hood pub on St Michael’s Hill.
Following the success of the inaugural event, which welcomed around 150 visitors and more than 30 independent crisp brands, the championships return to celebrate the creativity and craft of Britain’s independent crisp makers. The event brings together crisp enthusiasts, food lovers and anyone with a passion for savoury snacks to discover a wide range of crisps produced by independent brands from across the UK.
Throughout the afternoon and evening, visitors will be able to sample crisps from more than 30 brands representing a huge variety of flavours, ingredients and styles. Guests receive a tasting card and can vote for their favourites across a series of categories including Best Packaging Design, Most Unique Flavour, Best Pub Snack Crisp and Best Spicy Crisp, before the overall Crisp of the Year winner is crowned.
Alongside the crisp tasting, guests can enjoy drinks from The Robin Hood bar and soak up a lively, community atmosphere as Bristol’s crisp lovers gather to celebrate Britain’s favourite pub snack.
No ticket is required to attend. Visitors simply purchase a drink at the bar in exchange for a tasting card, which can then be used to vote for their favourite crisps.
