NHCC Uganda - the knowledge sharing platform for Nurses and Midwives, is delighted to host Dr Joan Myers OBE, LIVE in Milton Keynes for this one day diaspora leaders seminar and workshop.
About the facilitator
Dr Myers is a strategic nurse leader, consultant and educator in community children’s nursing services. She has worked as an advisor to the NHS’s Chief Nursing Officer for England for over ten years, including being the Chair of the CNO BME Strategic Advisory Group for five years up until 2017 and received an OBE for services to children and nursing in the Queens Birthday honours’ list in 2013.
Aims and objectives of the seminar
The one day diaspora seminar is aimed to enhance the diaspora leaders' organisational and compassionate leadership skills. Units to be covered include Emotional intelligence and cultural competence.
