Udayswar@Prithvi is a rare and truly unique acoustic experience of Indian Classical Music in the manner it was originally designed, for an intimate Baithak.
Based on the 8 Prahars (time spans) of the day, this Indian Classical Music concert features morning ragas of the 2nd Prahar performed by various artistes.
MEETA PANDIT – VOCAL
Dr. Meeta Pandit, a distinguished exponent of the Gwalior Gharana, represents the sixth generation of the illustrious Pandit lineage. Trained under her grandfather Pt. Krishna Rao Shankar Pandit and father Pt. Laxmanrao Krishnarao Pandit, she is the first woman in this legacy.
Renowned for her deep, powerful voice spanning over three octaves, she excels in Khayal and the rare Tappa, alongside Tarana, Thumri, Bhajan, and Sufi forms. Her nuanced raga interpretation has earned widespread acclaim.
A PhD in Music, she is a recipient of prestigious honors including the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar and Yuva Ratna Samman. Her acclaimed albums and international collaborations further highlight her global artistic presence.
