Konpa Moves @ The Underline
Step into the joy of Haitian Konpa—a dance full of rhythm, connection, and cultural pride! This free 4-week beginner-friendly series invites you to move, learn, and celebrate the heartbeat of Haiti through dance. No partner or experience needed—just bring your energy and curiosity!
📍 Location: The Underline’s Inter Stage in Brickell, located underneath the Metrorail between SW 8th St and SW 10th St, Miami, FL 33130. (Nearest address: 90 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33130)
🚆 Transportation: We encourage biking, walking, or taking Metrorail/bus. Exit at Brickell Metrorail Station—the Inter Stage is right below!
🚗 Parking: Paid parking is available at the Brickell City Centre Garage or via PayByPhone using metered spaces on SW 1st Avenue and surrounding streets.
🕒 Cadence & Time: — Free 4-week series, Wednesdays from 7:15 PM –8:15 PM.
🌿 What to expect:
Led by @theshayofsunshine, this uplifting class introduces you to the foundations of Haitian Konpa dance—a style known for its smooth grooves, rhythmic footwork, and joyful connection. Each week builds on the previous one, helping you grow your confidence, coordination, and cultural appreciation in a fun, outdoor setting.

- Positive energy and a smile!
🌧 Weather: This event is outdoors. In case of severe weather, check your email for updates. If there’s a 50% or greater chance of rain, we’ll postpone the event 2 hours beforehand. Thunder or lightning will result in immediate cancellation.
