About this Event
Our Stories is a student-run initiative to bring together undergraduates through storytelling. Over dinner, students tell and hear stories with our peers, developing connections through narratives of personal experience.
Our second circle of the semester will be held on Thursday, April 23, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The prompt is: A story about devotion. No need to come with a story pre-prepared; there will be plenty of time to gather your thoughts. All are welcome!
Joining us on April 23 is special guest Dean Larry Jackson. Dean Jackson, trained as a philosopher, is the dean of Academic Affairs and director of the Center for the Core Curriculum at Columbia College. His writing has appeared in n+1, Diacritics and the Journal of Speculative Philosophy, and he serves on the advisory board of Conversations: The Journal of Cavellian Studies. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, he was a first-generation college student.
We encourage you to bring friends, break bread, and take a break from studying to connect with people in your community! All are welcome!
