About this Event
Join Us at the UCA Creative Education Conference!
This one day event, at the University for the Creative Arts, explores how creative education is evolving as material practices and machine intelligence increasingly intersect.
This year’s theme, Material / Machine, invites educators, artists, researchers, technicians, librarians, policymakers, and students to examine the tensions and opportunities between embodied creative practice and synthetic digital systems.
As artificial intelligence, algorithmic tools, and automated processes enter creative disciplines, the conference asks:
- What forms of knowledge remain embodied in materials, craft, and studio practice?
- Where do machines extend human creativity, and where do they challenge authorship and integrity?
- How can creative education bridge material and digital worlds in meaningful and ethical ways?
Through panels, talks and discussions, we will explore how creative education can remain critical, inclusive and imaginative in an increasingly hybrid landscape.
