About this Event
This October, UAL collaborates with Oya Heart Warrior . Oya will be delivering a wellness session dedicated to Black Lives Thriving: A space which is Black queer affirming and is open to Black and Black people of mixed heritage African descent only.
Join Oya Heart Warrior in an immersive journey using embodied somatic practices to tap into your body’s ancestral wisdom and inner calm. Through somatic dance, meditation and sound bath healing, you’ll nourish your soul in a safe, supportive space. This workshop offers a welcoming, non-judgmental environment dedicated to Black Joy and collective healing.
Oya Heart Warrior, is a energy healer and somatic movement facilitator based in london. She founded unapologetically black yoga and conscious dance revolution, to build compassionate spaces, for black people (including mixed race) of african descent to expand our joy and metabolise our pain. We use somatic movement, meditation and sound vibration to heal our bloodline and future generations.
With a background in mental health, yoga therapy and somatic movement, Oya developed a racial trauma informed practice that tends to the wellbeing of people of african descent in black only spaces.
Oya believes that connecting to our intuitive embodied wisdom and collective resources, are vital to black lives thriving.
