If you attended last year in 2021 Alumni Weekend Was definitely a time to remember. We Are Excited to Announce the Return of Alumni Weekend for the 5th Annual Celebration

We are definitely still sensitive to the health concerns of many and understand that some may not be able to be present. However, If you are not able to physically attend the weekend please consider purchasing an Alumni Weekend T-shirt or making a donation toward the scholarship.

ALL INCLUSIVE DRAGON PASS Will Be Available Again this year (or you can still select your event and tshirts Al La Carte) 

       -DRAGON PASSES will Be All Inclusive and will provide Access to All Events, Tailgating (includes Food, Drinks, & Game Admission), Brunch will be at an exclusive location & Mimosas will be Bottomless.

*Note This Weekend is an Unofficial collaboration of events that is not put on by the University or Affiliated with the University— This Weekend is hosted by a collective group of Black Alumni to raise two minority scholarships and reunite former students for networking and engagement*

Weekend Lineup:

Monday Sept 12th

Bridge The Gap Alumni To Undergraduate Panel

- This event will be on campus where a panel of UAB Black Alums from different career paths will have the opportunity to take the floor and speak on there journey and give advice to undergrads on how to connect the dots from Undergrad to Post Grad from a real time perspective.

Tuesday Sept 13th

- Town Hall Virtual Podcast

-This event is a virtual weekend kickoff where everyone can tune in and there will be different individuals speaking on Alumni Weekend and what it will consist of and what they look forward to seeing it grow into for the future. Additional topics will be discussed during this virtual event as well, announcing official sponsors, partners, and scholarship criteria for recipients.

Wednesday Sept 14th

- Alumni Fitness Challenge

On the Campus Green come join us for this free fitness challenge event at 6pm. Everyone is invited as this event will be led by personal trainers and fitness coaches. We will engage in Games and Activities. Free event and refreshments will be provided.

Thursday Sept 15th

- Weekend Kickoff Meet and Greet

- This event will be one of the first social gatherings of the weekend in Happy Hour form where alumnus can come hang out and network from 6-9pm. Typically during this event individuals also have to opportunity to pick up their weekend passes and official alumni weekend t-shirts.

Friday Sept 16th

- R&B Vs Hip Hop Block Party 2 Venues Friday Night Live (Scholarship Event)

- This Friday night social would be the next hangout opportunity in a lounge atmosphere at 2 venues in the downtown area with a time slated for 9pm-2am. This is a nightlife event where majority of proceeds will be going toward the scholarship goal amount.

Saturday Sept 17th

- Alumni Community Service Project

8am Loaction will be announced

- Black Alumni Weekend Official Pregame Tailgate 12noon

- Open bar and Free food (while supplies last) tailgating outside the stadium prior to the game

- Enjoy the game inside of Protective Stadium

-Alumni Afterparty

- Old School Alumni Afterparty will be in a bar atmosphere (30&Up age range)

-All Alumni Afterparty will be in a nightclub atmosphere (21&up age range)

Sunday Sept 18th

- Networking Brunch & Day Social

-12noon til 5pm We will be giving small businesses and opportunity as vendors to promote/sell their products and services

-We will also be having a Brunch & DayParty including Bottomless Mimosas catered and curated by chefs and bartenders that are UAB alums
