About this Event
Welcome to the U-Kino Film Festival : Shorts on Architecture
U-Kino is a festival of Ukrainian cinema, with an aim to raise visibility of Ukrainian film and culture more broadly. The intention is to explore possibilities of ‘disagreeing well’, sophisticated spaces to explore conflict and the role of creative practice. The festival takes place from July – November 2024, the final screening is to coincide with commemorative events at the National Museum of Holodomor Genocide, Kyiv. The screenings take place in SODA cinema at the School of Digital Arts, Manchester Metropolitan University.
Tuesday 6 August 3.00–6.00pm
Five architecture and urbanism films directed by Roman Blazhan, 2018–2020.
Total running time 42 minutes.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Eddy Rhead from The Modernist.
The event is free to attend, all welcome.
