We are pleased to announce our inaugural U-BEACH community beach day in Emu Park (April 16th). Start time is 9:00am, so be sure to arrive early if you can! This is an accessible event where we will roll out the beach mat, beach wheelchairs, and beach walkers at Main Beach, Emu Park. Equipment will be available for children, youth, and adults.
We will support everyone to enjoy the beach with assistance for wheelchair transfers (including hoist), mobility and participation in beach activities. Beach activities will include walking/wheeling, swimming, kites, cricket, sand games and sandcastles. There will also be a free sausage sizzle provided by Capricornia Access and Equity Group.
This event is delivered by our U-BEACH team led by CQUniversity Physiotherapy in partnership with our sponsors (please see flyer).
No registration is required, however please register your interest in attending to help us plan our activities and catering.
