Nevada Registry Approved: 1 Hour

CKA: Human Growth & Development

Participants will learn about early childhood development and how to identify if skills are typical or atypical for the child's age. It is important to know that this training is just an overview of early childhood development. This training does not meet any requirements for a college course.

Training Objectives:

1 . By the end of this session, learners will distinguish the difference between typical and atypical development.

2 . By the end of this session, learners will sequence the order of developmental milestones.

3 . By the end of this session, learners will apply their knowledge on typical development and atypical development for children between the ages of birth to one year old.

Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training. If you have questions or concerns, or need additional information about this process, feel free to contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200.
