Our speaker, Dr Stephen Ross will outline the requirements of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH), as amended, to ensure control of exposure in the workplace and protect workers’ health along with the requirement of occupational health surveillance.
Topics covered include the legal requirements, what is health surveillance, the objectives for health surveillance, when health surveillance is necessary, how to implement health surveillance, how to manage health surveillance and the specific roles & responsibilities related to the activity.
Dr Ross will also cover the legal aspects of screening and testing for drugs and alcohol in the work place and how this is managed to make sure testing is reliable and accurate.
