Hello guys! So recently we lost another great soul while riding recently. Tyler Willis-Buchanan, 22, of Roanoke, VA went on a ride with one of my buddies and unfortunately didn’t make it back. One of his best-friends is having me help set up a memorial ride in his memory and please anyone is welcome. It will be held September 23rd, 2024 in 2 months from now and we will be leaving around 8am. We will have a meet up spot for gas in Roanoke then we will all set out on the road he passed on. Along the way we will be stopping in different places so if anyone is closer to the areas we stop at we will be meeting up at those areas for any extra people who want to join but can’t make it to Roanoke. I’ll be posting those met ups at a later time. We’re going to pretty much be going on the last ride he got to go on. We will ride the route they took that day and go up to the chicken place they were going up to eat at in Charlottesville, VA and stop to eat there then head back. As we’re on our way back we’re going to stop by his passing site around the time he passed to say a prayer and leave some stuff there for him. I will be making flags for any bikes or vehicles coming (I can’t express this enough, YES, cars are allowed to come as well)
We will more than likely have a police escort at least through the city and maybe in the mountain to ensure everyone is safe during this hard time.
I scheduled it 2 months in advance to give people the time and space to recoup and reconnect to their minds so no one will be riding or driving erratically off emotions.
We hope we can make this memorial ride very memorable and send him off in a calm happy environment. 🤍
