A cast of local students in grades 4-8 present Hairy Tale Rock at Tibbits Opera House.A poor peasant family, whose children sell their electronics for five beans that they hope are magic. The bratty Prince Rupert and the obnoxious Princess Iphigenia, who are exiled to the wild woods of Wychwood until they find true love. Rapunzel and her equally long-haired brother Bill, forced to stay in an enchanted tower because they refuse to get a haircut. And overseeing it all? A Fairy Tale Committee helmed by a Big Bad Wolf and a bumbling Fairy Godmother. This rocking, rolling, hilarious romp through these well-known fairy tales is a tangle of twists and turns that will leave you laughing and will give everyone a turn in the spotlight as everyone--well, almost everyone--learns the meaning of true love and sacrifice before the curtain falls.
Tickets are $10 including fees. 2 & under are free but require a ticket by calling the box office (517) 278-6029. Doors will open one hour prior to showtime and seating will begin 30 minutes prior to showtime. No outside food or drink allowed in the theatre. Runtime is approximately 90 minutes plus intermission.
