JMQ Jazz Ensemble is thrilled to again present stellar American jazz songstress, TY COOPER, with outstanding saxophonist, AARON MICHAEL, on Thursday, FEB 26, 2026 at the Golden Gate Hotel, South Melbourne at 7pm.

TY is known for her rich voice, powerful stage presence and dedicated professionalism, Ty Cooper is, as the Las Vegas Times has called her, “the real deal”, Her impeccable showmanship and an easy command of jazz, sultry blues and sizzling swing styles, all wrapped up in flash and sass, guarantee a rich following wherever she graces the stage.
A global performer, Cooper has sung in Las Vegas, Paris, Ireland, Dubai and across Australia. She has led multiple productions and bands, including Swing & Strings, Ty and the Wild Women Jazz and has just completed a new album, 'Reflections'.
Aaron is a stellar tenor saxophonist, bandleader, composer and soloist; and also leader of RAAF bands. He has just returned to town, after a posting to Canberra. With these special guests and our all-star line up of regulars Tony, Nick, John and guest pianist, Rory Clark - a truly special evening is in store.
