The Wandering Willows are an eclectic musical experience best described as southern rock swagger shaking hands with outlaw country, classic rock, and a touch of “wait…that was really good.” Drawing inspiration from the grit of Blackberry Smoke and the heart of Tom Petty, the band blends familiar roots with a sound that refuses to behave.
Front and center is Matt Norris, delivering edgy vocals and rhythm/lead guitar with enough bite to keep things interesting. Tanner Davis brings exceptional lead guitar work that ranges from smooth and soulful to “how did he just do that?” Mike Hendrix holds the low end together on bass with rock-solid consistency, while Kim Norris adds just the right amount of magic on vocals and keys—because every band needs a secret weapon. Powering it all is Gerald Champion on drums, providing the rhythmic backbone that keeps the train on the tracks (mostly).
