Two Springs brings together two groups of works made in different places and at different times. The first are paintings of peach blossoms from China. The second presents around 60 small studies of wild flowers from Malta.
Seen together, the exhibition reflects a gradual shift in looking: from building an image, to staying with what is already there.
The exhibition takes place in July, when Malta is bright and exposed. Inside, the works hold a different season — slower, darker, and more intimate.
Visitors are invited to slow down, let the eye adjust, and stay a little longer with what is there

Yang Tang is a Chinese visual artist based in Malta. Working across painting, printmaking and photography, her practice is rooted in close observation. For her, art begins with looking, and with staying long enough for something to appear.
