Two Minds • One MissionBuilding Safe & Confident Horses
Small, simple changes… remarkable results.
No matter the discipline, every rider wants the same thing —
a calm, confident horse and a connection that feels easy, safe, and genuine.
Two Minds • One Mission is a brain-centered horsemanship clinic designed to help you better understand how horses think, feel, and learn — and how your own mindset directly influences your horse.
This is a no-nonsense, supportive clinic where pressure is replaced with understanding, and progress is built through clarity, curiosity, and trust.
This Special Pegasus Event Includes Two Unique Learning Days:
Friday (Aug. 28) is dedicated to Pegasus staff and volunteers, focusing on understanding how the horse’s brain processes safety, stress, and learning in a therapeutic environment.
Saturday (Aug. 29) is open to the public and features hands-on brain-centered horsemanship sessions for riders and auditors.
Whether you are:
• a recreational or trail rider
• a competitor
• returning to the saddle after time away
• or newer to horses
👉 there is something here for you and your horse.
What This Clinic Focuses On
During the Saturday public clinic, participants will experience thoughtfully designed learning segments that may include:
• short, engaging lectures
• non-resistant handling
• groundwork
• obstacle work (in-hand and/or riding)
All sessions are designed to be brain-friendly, horse-friendly, and human-friendly — no overwhelm, no rushing, no pressure.
The 7 C’s of Brain-Centered Horsemanship
This clinic builds on the 7 C’s:
Cognition • Communication • Connection • Confidence • Conditioning • Choice • Clicker™
You will learn:
• how the human and horse influence one another biologically
• basic brain principles for both horse and rider
• how horses and humans learn — and how to work with that process
• how fear impacts learning, behavior, and performance
• why play matters in building confidence and trust
• how groundwork and obstacles build body awareness and mental confidence
• how to read your horse’s body language more clearly
• how to introduce clicker training in a practical, approachable way
…and much more.
Clinic Format
Saturday’s public clinic will include a mix of demonstration, group learning, and hands-on sessions designed to support both horse and rider.
Auditors are encouraged and will gain just as much insight through observation and guided discussion.
The goal is simple: relaxed horses, confident riders, and meaningful learning.
