Saturday May 30th, 2026 at 9 am to 3 pm (with optional 1/2 hour lunch)
Sunday May 31st 2026 at 9 am to 3 pm (with optional 1/2 hour lunch)
Addtional Open-Studio time available Saturday evening 3 pm until 8pm
In this Two-Day Silversmithing Intensive you’ll learn all the essentials, so you can start creating your own jewelry with confidence. With plenty of individual attention, and hands-on practice, you’ll build real skills you can use long after the weekend is over.
You’ll benefit from lots of hands-on opportunities while learning essential silversmithing techniques like: sawing and piercing, texturing and forming, soldering with a torch, and setting stones with both bezel and simple prong settings.
With lots of instructor attention and a supportive environment, you’ll build confidence using tools and fire, learn how to avoid common mistakes, and discover how to plan and execute your own designs. This workshop is designed to give you a solid foundation in working with metal and using a variety of jewelry-making tools
Most students leave with three to five finished pieces—such as earrings, stackable rings, or gemstone jewelry—and the skills to keep creating long after class ends. Optional open studio time on Saturday evening ($10/hr, materials not included) gives you extra practice or project completion time.
Very Important information :
- You will recieve a varity of material including but not limited to: Brass, Copper, Sterling Silver sheet & wire to create your projects.
- Bring glasses, reading glasses or optimizers in order to see small details.👓
- You are welcome to bring your own cabochons, stones, crystals, etc (we will have lots of options to choose from).
- It can be a long day so feel free to bring something to drink and snacks if you might want them.
** Must be 16 years of age (unless arranged prior to signing up for the class)
*** Safety Requirements: No loose clothing, long hair must be tied back, must wear close-toed shoes during class.
