About this Event
Join Parent Coach Elisabeth Stitt, BA, with the Center for Children and Youth, for Tweens and Their Friendships: Navigating Volatile Emotions.
With the advent of puberty, middle school brings dramatic emotional and cognitive changes to our tweens. Peer relationships become all-important but can cause extreme stress and anxiety for children at this age. Learn more about what is happening physiologically and emotionally during this challenging developmental stage and everyday social challenges. Discuss strategies for communicating with, supporting, and staying connected to your middle-school child while they increase their independence and autonomy.
