Larissa “Larz” May, is a nationally recognized digital wellness advocate and founder of #Half the Story— a nonprofit that has done extensive work at the intersection of social media and mental health among tweens and teens, and the co-founder of #Ginko—the first clinician-backed AI helping families navigate the digital era with peace of mind.
Backed by leading organizations including Pinterest, Melinda French Gates organization, and The Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation, Larz is at the forefront of the movement to build healthier relationships with technology.
Her work has been featured in TIME, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and Vanity Fair. She has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and the Today Show, sharing practical, research-based strategies to help families navigate technology, social media, and AI with confidence and intention. Larz also serves on Gavin Newsom’s council on AI safety in education.
