Twang City is Proud to Present a night of music with three top bands!
TED Z & THE WRANGLERS hail from Orange County and are known for their unique blend of Americana, rockabilly, and roots rock music. The band was formed by frontman Ted Zakka in 2012. With Ted Z at the helm, the musical collective have cultivated a distinct sound that pays homage to the rich musical traditions of the American West while infusing it with modern energy and flair. As a songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist, Ted Z brings a raw authenticity to the group's music, drawing inspiration from his own experiences. His gravelly, whisky-drenched vocals and passionate delivery are trademarks of the group's sound.

Playing their monthly residency, it's JOHN SURGE & THE HAYMAKERS playing music that fits like a pair of well worn jeans and feels the right side of retro country but also has an eye to the future and perfects Surge's own personal vision of the music that came from the likes of the Palomino Club in its heyday in L.A. Surge is a veteran of the Los Angeles country scene, and he and his band are fluent in the gleaming, dance-floor-friendly brand of California twang-pop made famous by Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakam – melodic country music that is like a full dish of ear candy.
AND!! THE BEN VAUGHN ENSEMBLE - Ben Vaughn is a cult hero! Born in Collingswood, New Jersey, his resume is too long to detail. With the "Ben Vaughn Combo," he released two albums and toured the US from 1983 to 1988. Vaughn then launched his solo career, recording albums and touring Europe and the U.S.. As a musician, he is perhaps best known for his "Rambler '65" album that was recorded entirely in his car. As a producer, Vaughn made albums for artists such as Ween, Charlie Feathers, Los Straitjackets,Los Straitjackets, Mark Olson of the Jayhawks, Nancy Sinatra the Swingers soundtrack. He also collaborated with Alan Vega and Alex Chilton. Vaughn also is the producer and host of The Many Moods of Ben Vaughn, a weekly, hour-long radio show.It's a night full of music with two high energy 5-piece bands playing traditional infused country music! His live shows are filled with brilliant songs, excellent musicianship and wry humor. Not to be missed!
