Saturday Flight School & Aviation Networking – Raleigh Community Center
From 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM, youth ages 11–14 will participate in Saturday Flight School, meeting aviation professionals and exploring aviation opportunities in Memphis. Truist will bring fun financial literacy to the group.
Aviation organizations are invited to set up display tables and network with the public, sharing information about aviation careers, education pathways, and local opportunities. This is part of our effort to bring the airport to Raleigh and connect the community directly with aviation professionals.
National Tuskegee Airmen Day - SSGT Leslie Edwards Recognition Program
At 4:00 PM, the community is invited to the Church of the River (Virginia Ave) for a special recognition and reception honoring SSGT Leslie Edwards, a documented Original Tuskegee Airman from Memphis. His family will be present and essay winners will also be recognized during this program.
We look forward to celebrating this important aviation legacy with students, families, and the community.
