Turn It On Again pays tribute to one of the top all time musicians and singers in rock & roll, Phil Collins. Phil’s distinct voice resonates through dozens of pop hits from the 80s through the 2000s, and before that as lead singer replacing Peter Gabriel in prog rock band Genesis. His superb and powerful drumming skills were equally matched to his songwriting. This show brings Phil’s incredible catalog to life with an all-star band featuring Phil Lo Presti on guitar, Steve Bauman on keyboards, Charlie Lo Presti on bass, 2-time Grammy-winning MB Gordy on drums, and lead singer John Pratt. You will enjoy hearing these timeless tunes including "Against All Odds," “One More Night,” “Take Me Home,” and of course "In the Air Tonight" plus a taste of Genesis. John’s voice will take you back to these songs with a fresh spin. The band is very proud to bring this music back to the live stage.
JOHN PRATT (vocals) is a dynamic singer and a prolific and thought-provoking songwriter and producer. Beginning as a lead singer in San Francisco in the 70s, John then spent over 10 years fronting LA bands that featured his powerful vocals and sold out every major club in SoCal. In 2013, he released his critically acclaimed solo album, Turn the Page. The richness of his music is a product of years of experience scoring and producing compositions for movies and all major television networks. Watch for John’s next album expected to be out this year.
PHIL LO PRESTI (guitar, bg vocals) is an accomplished American rock guitarist with over three decades of studio and stage experience. He is a highly sought after player by solo artists and bands nationwide. A graduate of the Westchester Conservatory of Music with a focus on jazz, Phil is well versed in a variety of playing styles most notably rock, blues, r&b, and funk. His signature style and inspiration come from a blend of legendary guitarists such as Jeff Beck, Albert King, Barney Kessel & Wes Montgomery. Phil has shared the stage and performed with many renowned artists including the Martin Guigui All-Star Band, Billy Gibbons, SLASH, Warren Haynes, Dave Navarro, Robbie Krieger, Joe Bonamassa & Nancy Wilson to name a few.
STEVE BAUMAN (keyboards, bg vocals) is a versatile Los Angeles-based musician and multi-instrumentalist, proficient on keyboards, guitar, trumpet, ukulele, and vocals as well as a respected composer and arranger. He has performed with Solomon Burke, Teena Marie, Michael McDonald, Third World & Henry Kapono and has recorded with Chaka Khan, Stanley Clarke, Tom Jones, Paula Abdul, and Thomas Dolby. Steve’s music appears in films & television, including Deadpool, and The Voice, and he is a member of Danny Elfman’s film music production team.
CHARLIE LO PRESTI (bass) is a professional audio engineer, producer, and mixer, and is also a highly skilled and widely recognized bassist on both electric and upright bass. Some of the artists he’s worked with include Alkaline Trio, Lindsey Webster, Amyl & the Sniffers, Kirk Franklin, Dream Widow, FEAR, and Anson. Charlie is one half of the musical duo The Convertibles alongside his lifelong friend and guitarist Mike Orent. Charlie plays all around Los Angeles. You’ll see him performing live with singer Anson and others.
MB GORDY (drums) is an acclaimed drummer, percussionist & educator whose credits include albums by iconic recording artists, blockbuster films, TV series, video games, and prestigious rock/pop/theatrical and orchestral live performances and tours. As a session player he is a go-to resource for the industry’s top composers and record producers and has recorded and/or played with John Legend & Common, Beck, Andra Day, Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, One Republic, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Neil Diamond, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, The Doobie Brothers, Fun, Guns & Roses, John Tesh, Melissa Manchester, Rita Coolidge, Three Dog Night, and world music group Opium Moon with whom he received a Grammy.
