Your lawn is a thirst trap and we’re in a drought! Join the Benton Conservation District Heritage Garden Program to learn about turf alternatives and waterwise landscaping in our region. Together, we’ll learn about alternatives to traditional lawn/turf and best practices for transitioning your space. We’ll cover lawn removal strategies, best planting practices, what to expect during the transition, maintenance recommendations, how and where to source alternatives and more! Then, you’ll use what you learn to come up with a strategy specifically catered to your own yard. Come learn how your yard can shift from one that wastes water to a space that’s waterwise, budget friendly, beautiful and beneficial for our local pollinator friends. All are welcome to this free event!
