TU.PI - Brasilianisches Musikfestival brings new Brazilian jazz talents to Berlin
On April 7, 2024, the TU.PI - Brasilianisches Musikfestival brings new Brazilian jazz talents to Berlin. Jazz mixed with Brazilian roots music, samba-jazz, a little pop and a Latin Grammy Award winner will shine on the line-up.
with three artists, in an event with six hours of music.
LINE UP:
Renato Anesi
Renato Anesi stands out as a composer and multi-instrumentalist. He has in-depth knowledge of string instruments such as mandolin, Brazilian guitar, cavaquinho, tenor guitar and classical guitar.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, he belongs to a generation influenced by rock and jazz, but also inherits the entire tradition of Brazilian instrumental music. Anesi shows virtuosity in his interpretation of genres such as choro, waltz and rhythms like baião, frevo and maracatu.
On stage, alongside Renato Anesi, will be percussionist, composer and researcher
Amoy Ribas. Born in Brasília, Amoy has lived in all four corners of Brazil, in India and has been in Berlin for the last six years. His work transcends the concept of percussion as simple accompaniment, searching for new sounds in the percussive universe, which makes his music vibrant and purposeful. His style has aroused the interest of greats such as Hermeto Pascoal, Gilson Peranzzetta, Martin Grubinger, Guinga, Jacques Morellenbaum, Joo Kraus, Ralf Schmid, Hamilton de Holanda, Raul de Souza, Toninho Horta, Joyce, Toninho Ferragutti, Arismar do Espirito Santo, Jeff Coffin and many others.

Érico Moreira
You can be a musician, songwriter, performer, producer, arranger, recording and mixing engineer or take on other roles. However, there are very few artists who manage to encompass all these skills, as is the case with Erico Moreira, who took on all these responsibilities in the release of his latest album, "Dentro da Matrix". It's no wonder that this album, produced entirely independently, has been nominated for the 2022 Latin Grammy Awards
After being nominated for the second time in a row, Erico has just won the Latin Grammy in the Best Recording Engineering Album category. This time with the album "Canto a la Imaginación" by Catalan singer Marina Tuset, for which he was responsible for the production, recording and mixing.
