About this Event
Tunisian crochet creates fabric with a woven, textured appearance that drapes differently than standard crochet. It's worked on a long hook using a two-step process that builds rows of loops, then works them off. The result is dense, warm fabric perfect for blankets, cowls, and structured garments.
In this class, you'll learn how to choose the right hook size for your yarn, work the foundational Tunisian simple stitch, and finish your edges cleanly. We'll create a sampler scarf together that demonstrates several stitch variations. You'll also learn basic increasing and decreasing techniques so you can shape your work.
This technique opens up new texture possibilities. Once you understand the rhythm, it becomes meditative and satisfying to work.
